Best and only restaurant in town at the moment. Rhoda and the family are super nice and hospitable.
Well, if you end up by design or by chance in Moosenee, this is THEE only decent place to get a greasy spoon kinda bite. Super friendly, busy (good sign if locals eat here) easily accessible from train station. Standard menu choices. Good portions, comfort food items and well, that's pretty much it. Gotta like the vibe. Pictures of locals ornately hung. Also framed photos of local wildlife. Men's bathroom (didn't get into the women's) was very clean. I like that! If you need a place to kill time until train gets going or would like a decent homestyle cooked meal. This is a good choice. Keep in mind youreyway the heck up north and they're doing the best they can. I like the best effort put forth and given they're the only show in town they do a pretty good job regardless. I'm sure it's costly to get supplies.
Poutine is decent. Coffee is ok. Beers are cold. It's the only place in town and it's super friendly. Remember, you're in a remote town... this is really great for remote town cafe/eating place.
Affordable, tasty food. Friendly staff. Don't let the exterior fool you, it's fresh and clean inside!
They need to spend some money on renovations. They're one of the only restaurants in town and they know it. You can't even tell it's a restaurant from the exterior and the faded sign out front.
